Request for Proposal: Economic Impact Study & Monitoring for Oxford Tourism Council
Oxford Tourism Council is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to seek formal quotes from destination research experts to develop an economic impact study lookback from 2019 to current. This study will assess the effects of COVID-19 from the onset of the pandemic to present on the tourism industry and the recovery of tourism in Oxford, MS. Visit Oxford also desires an interactive dashboard for economic data and travel indicators for Oxford, MS. This dashboard should include digital marketing campaign monitoring analysis and engagement tracking to our destination including visitor spending. The dashboard should show current metrics that will provide a roadmap to Visit Oxford in how to maintain and enhance its positioning relative to competitive destination markets, as well as to identify growth markets for leisure travelers, as well as group meetings, conventions and sports travelers. Although it is Visit Oxford’s intent to contract with the person/company that best meets the qualifications to complete the scope of work, Visit Oxford may terminate the negotiations if they are unsuccessful in reaching an agreement on all matters including the scope of work and cost. Request for Proposal: Cultural Resource Management Case Studies for American Battlefield Trust
With the support of federal funding from the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP), the American Battlefield Trust (“the Trust”) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to produce Cultural Resource Management case studies of resources associated with Native American and African American history and communities at three battlefields in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The principal investigator on a proposed team must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and have a background in African American and/or Native American history and cultural resources.
The objective of this project is to document and map cultural resources associated with Native American and African American history and communities at three regions with Revolutionary War, Civil War, and/or War of 1812 battlefield landscapes in Virginia. Each case study should comprehensively examine the landscape to identify and assess resources and period(s) of significance, to include but not be limited to the battle period. Contractor activities should be conducted in a manner that meets the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Archeology and Historic Preservation and any applicable state and local standards and guidelines. Request for Proposal: Tourism Masterplan and Destination Branding for Haywood County Tourism Development Authority
The Haywood County Tourism Development Authority (operating as Visit NC Smokies) is excited to announce concurrent RFPs for a Tourism Master Plan and Destination Branding Services. We invite experienced firms in the travel and tourism sector to submit proposals for one or both opportunities.
Tourism Master Plan: We’re aiming to develop a comprehensive plan that harnesses our unique cultural, historical, and natural assets to boost tourism, stimulate economic growth, ensure sustainability, and enrich the experience for both visitors and locals.
Destination Branding Services: Our goal is to develop a positioning and messaging platform that will elevate Haywood County’s stature as a top-tier destination and build equity and interest in Haywood County for years to come. We seek agencies with a proven track record in successful brand development across various destinations, both regionally and nationally.
Given the potential overlap in research between the two projects, consultants might find economies of scale by working on both.
